Lt. Laura Hanlon oversees the Police Department’s  Detective Unit, personnel hiring process, department training, and Professional Standards process. In addition, she periodically oversees community events such as “National Night Out.

Lt. Robinson works in conjunction with the Patrol lieutenant in managing the Patrol Division, which includes specialized patrol assignments, such as SED and Traffic. He is also the SWAT Commander for the joint Cathedral City-Palm Springs Police SWAT Team. Manages the activities of the first line supervisors, assess current policies, procedures and best practices, conduct training and assessment of equipment and personnel, investigate citizen complaints, and perform administrative duties as necessary. Lt. Robinson is also the departments Public Affairs Officer who is responsible for media and community interaction.

Lt. Moss manages dispatch and records operations. Other responsibilities include the police department budget, special/community events, seeking available grants, ERICA (radio system) liaison, animal control liaison with Riverside County, Community Policing, member of Development Services Committee and liaison with city hall.
