Homicide Investigation Update - Suspect in Custody - Friday, November 25, 2011
Cathedral City Detectives worked diligently throughout the late evening and early morning hours developing information and leads on the homicide that occurred last evening in the 68100 block of Ramon Road in Cathedral City. Utilizing investigative techniques, Detectives identified and located the suspect believed to have been involved in the homicide. Detectives conducted early morning surveillance on a residence in the 13500 Block of El Rio Lane in Desert Hot Springs, which resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspect, identified as 32-year old Armando Flores Carrillo. Detectives also served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence looking for additional evidence linking the suspect to this crime. The investigation is still on-going, and additional information will be made available as the investigation progresses. 


 
Gunshot Victim in Parking Lot on Roman Road - Friday, November 25, 2011

On 11/24/11, at about 2021 hrs, Cathedral City Police responded to a disturbance in the 68100 block of Ramon Road.  It was reported that there was a gunshot victim in the parking lot of a local business.  Officers arrived and found a thirty year old male laying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs where he was pronounced dead.

 

The victim’s name isn’t being released at this time pending notification of family.
